The qualifying deadline for those wishing to run for office in the May 3 Cumberland County Primary is Noon on Thursday, February 17. Voters will be choosing candidates for the 13th Judicial District Circuit Court, Criminal Court, District Attorney and Public Defender. Offices up for election in the County Primary include County Mayor, County Trustee, General Sessions Judge, Sheriff, Circuit Court Clerk, County Clerk, Register of Deeds, Road Superintendent, Assessor of Property, as well as seats on the board of education for districts 1, 3, 5, 6, and 9. The last day to register to vote in the May 3 County Primary is April 4, 2022. Early voting will be April 13 -28 at the Cumberland County Election Commission located at 83 Northside Lane, Suite 101.
