Tennessee Department of Finance and Administration Commissioner Butch Eley today announced that overall January state tax revenues exceeded budgeted estimates. Revenues for January totaled $1.8 billion, which is $309.2 million more than budgeted and 8.92 percent greater than revenues received in January 2021.
In other news, Tennessee Governor Bill Lee recently announced the appointment of Butch Eley as Deputy to the Governor. Eley will continue serving in his current role as Commissioner for the Tennessee Department of Finance and Administration (F&A) and as a member of Gov. Lee’s cabinet. The position of Deputy Governor was previously held by Lang Wiseman who has returned to the private sector.
