Sales tax collections for the latest reporting period in Crossville once again outpaced previous years. Sales revenue almost topped $893,000 for collections reported in January, but were actually collected in November. Wholesale beer taxes were up for the period at almost $67,000, while revenue from liquor sales remains slightly ahead of the same time last year. Crossville City Manager Greg Wood attributed area events as the reason for an increase in the hotel occupancy tax. That tax has surpassed all years since it began in 2018. Just over $112,000 has been collected for the year to date.
