Sales tax collections for the October 2021 reporting period remained high. According to the city manager report for the city of Crossville, sales tax revenue came in at $866,000, up by almost $100,000 from last year. For the year to date the city has collected $3.4 million. Wholesale beer tax collections saw a slight increase for the period, with the city taking in $62,100. Revenue from liquor sales were also up for the period, while collections from the hotel motel tax were higher than pre-pandemic levels for the same period. For the year to date, the city has collected almost $100,000 from the hotel occupancy tax.
