Once again, sales tax collections for the city of Crossville were up from the same time last year. Collections for the latest period were at $852,632, up by almost 9 percent from last year. City Manager Greg Wood said he expects collections to begin to plateau soon as most of the gains were from new online revenue. Revenue from the wholesale beer tax remained steady with only a slight gain from last year. Collections for the period were at $63,848. Collections from liquor sales were also steady with a year to date figure of $205,839. And collections from the hotel occupancy tax outpaced all previous years with a year to date total of $82,507.
