A man has died after apparently hanging himself in the Cumberland County Jail. Mark Christopher Brown, 44, was found hanging by a noose made from his bed sheet. He was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. The Crossville Chronicle reports that Brown had been indicted for providing a fatal dose of meth to his stepdaughter, 22-year-old Madison Christine Brown. As is standard in such cases, the TBI has been called to conduct an investigation. Foul play is not suspected and Brown’s death appears to be a suicide.
