UT Lifts Mask Mandate

The University of Tennessee has lifted its mask mandate, however,  some professors are reportedly still requiring masks in class to protect vulnerable students.  On Tuesday, UT was granted an exemption from Governor Bill Lee’s ban on mask and vaccine mandates.  According to WVLT, this exemption means that the university system is still allowed to enact any mandates required by the federal government to keep funding.  Several other universities were also granted exemptions.
