Crossville economy remains on the upswing

Sales tax revenue for the city of Crossville grew by over $100,000 from last year. For the latest reporting period, the city took in $841,000. Wholesale beer tax collections remained steady at $66,750, while income from liquor sales rose slightly for the period to $60,189. Tourism appears to be bustling in Crossville, with collections from the hotel occupancy tax outpacing all previous years. For the year to date, almost $ 63,000 has been collected, that’s the highest amount recorded since collections began in 2018.
