Waverly Officer Who Lost Home In Flood Dies From COVID Complications

The Waverly Police Department announced Sunday that Officer Greg Triplett died from complications of COVID.  Officer Triplett and his family lost their home and possessions during this year’s tragic floods in Middle Tennessee that claimed 20 lives. While rebuilding his home, he continued to patrol Waverly and helped his city rebuild. Sadly, after the flood he contracted COVID.  Officer Triplett, age 50, passed away on Sunday morning.  He leaves behind his wife, Lora, and five children.
