A section of Highway 127, Layne Drive and Church Street were shut down in Dunlap on Monday morning following a large diesel spill. Chief Hatfield of the Dunlap Fire Department reported the diesel came from the saddle tank of a semi truck. Dunlap firefighters, Dunlap Police, TDOT, and Sequatchie County EMA responded to the scene. Hwy 127 reopened about 4 hours later. Layne Drive and Church Street reopened early Monday night. No injuries were immediately reported.
