On Friday, Tennessee Governor Bill Lee signed an executive order extending the “State Of Emergency” to August 31, 2021. The action was necessary so Tennessee can maintain its eligibility for federal aid to help with economic recovery due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Governor Lee said he has no plans to reinstate COVID-19 restrictions but he is urging Tennesseans to get vaccinated.
