The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a deputy discovered a Crossville woman tied to a couch late last month.  According to reports, the deputy was taking a motor vehicle crash report at the Dollar General on Peavine when he was asked to do a welfare check on an employee at the store.  The deputy went to the woman’s apartment and was able to communicate with her through a back door.  Police say the victim had a phone charging cord wrapped around her neck which was tied to the couch. The woman said she had been tied up for two days and did not know how she got this way.
