The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the 2500 block of Midway Road on Saturday (6/5/21) for a possible burglary in progress. The homeowner told police that as she opened the front door she noticed the house and been ransacked and heard a noise coming from a back room. Police did not find anyone inside the home but did discover the back door open. Among items stolen was a Smith & Wesson .38 snub nose stainless revolver valued at $500, a 5X8 tilt trailer with a wood bed and wood side rails worth $500 and a Vizio 42-inch flat screen tv valued at $300. No arrests had been made in the case at the time of the report.
