No injuries were reported in a house fire on Prentice Street Sunday morning. Around 9:14am a Crossville Police officer responded to 968 Prentice Street and observed heavy smoke and flames coming from the house. The home’s occupant told police that he had cooked breakfast and left for work around 6:30am. No one else was in the home and he did not know what could have caused the fire. According to reports, the Crossville Fire Department suspects the cause of the blaze may be a faulty box fan.
