On Sunday, shortly after 4am, Crossville Police were dispatched to the area of 127 North where they discovered a gold van in the area of H&R Block that was smoking under the hood and the driver’s side airbag was deployed. The entire front end of the vehicle had extensive damage. Police discovered debris in the roadway near Walker Hill Street where the vehicle had jumped the culvert and traveled back onto the roadway. Police located a suspect near the bridge overpass across from Chuckles who was identified as 37-year-old Emanuel Jesus Juarez Francisco Pedro. He was determined to be the van driver. Police say Mr. Juarez had fresh burn marks on his left hand sleeve that were still warm to the touch. Empty alcohol bottles were found in the van. Police say Mr. Juarez appeared to be highly intoxicated. A warrant was issued for Driving Under The Influence, Leaving The Scene Of An Accident, and Driving Without a License.
