During a special called session of the Crossville City Council, council members approved a motion to seek requests for proposal for an auctioneer to dispose of property at 1140 Sparta Highway. The land was originally purchased to build a third fire station. Council approved auctioning the property with a reserve. In other action, council approved a motion to authorize the city manager to place limited bids on a property located between Webb Avenue and Iris Lane. The city is looking at the site as a potential location for an indoor recreation facility.
