A Soddy Daisy truck driver was killed in Putnam County Monday afternoon when his tractor-trailer ran off I-40 at the eastbound 273 mile marker and crashed into the State Route 56 overpass. The deceased has been identified as 52-year-old Billy Holcomb. On Tuesday morning, I-40 was down to one lane around the crash site as crews inspected the bridge for damage.
