Crossville Police responded to calls of a stabbing at a Hayes Drive residence Monday evening. Upon arrival, authorities found 22 year old Benjamin Jackson with a stab wound to his stomach. Jackson reportedly ran onto the porch at 130 Hayes Drive and began swinging a spade shovel at the occupant. The occupant told authorities that he took a sword next to his door to deflect the blows from the shovel. The altercation continued down the steps of the porch where Jackson was ultimately stabbed. Jackson, listed as homeless, was taken to Erlanger Medical Center for treatment and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. No charges have been filed against the homeowner.
