Crossville City Manager Greg Wood reports sales tax collections for the latest period were well above last year. Throughout the pandemic the city has remained above projections with the only decrease in tax revenue coming from the hotelmotel tax. For the latest period the city collected just over $720,000 in sales tax, bringing the year-to-date total to $7.143 million. Liquor sales were also brisk for the latest period with the city bringing in the second highest figure since June of 2016. For January of the 2020-21 budget year, liquor revenue was at $75,000 bringing the year-to-date total to just under $470,000.
