The Crossville City Council is reviewing an increase in fees for water taps, as well as charges for opening and closing graves at the City Cemetery. Due to increasing operation costs, the city is considering upping the cost of regular grave openings by $250. Additional increases are expected for grave lots and disinterment. Fees for water taps are also up for a possible increase. The current rate has not been changed since 2005. If approved, the rate for a ¾ inch water tap would increase to $1,100 inside the city, while the rate for a 2 inch tap would rise to $3500.
