The Tennessee Department of Health has confirmed four weather-related fatalities in Davidson County from this weekend’s storms.

Metro Police say the body of 65-year-old Douglas Hammond was found Sunday morning on a golf course after his vehicle ran off the road near Nashboro Boulevard and was swept away in flood waters not far from his home.

A 70-year-old man was found deceased in a submerged car in the creek near the intersection of Nolensville Pike and Harding Place.

Two homeless people, a 64-year-old man and a 46-year-old woman were found dead at their camp just off Nolensville Pike.

Severe weather crossed Tennessee Saturday and Sunday bringing heavy rain, high winds, flash flooding, and tornado warnings.  Officials report that 50 businesses flooded in downtown Lebanon in Wilson County.  There were 130 plus swift-water rescues conducted in Davidson County alone.  Single-family and multi-family evacuations were conducted in a half-dozen counties and scores of motorists had to be rescued from flooded vehicles.  The Tennessee Emergency Management Agency activated the State Emergency Operations Center, as well as its Regional Coordination Centers in west, middle, and east Tennessee.  Tennesseans who need help with cleaning up following the storms and flooding can call the Crisis Cleanup hotline at 833-904-1085.
