From Valentine’s Day to Friday, February 19, 2021, Tennessee Department of Transportation crews used approximately 27,500 tons of salt and logged over 170,000 miles clearing and treating roadways across 26 counties in middle Tennessee. TDOT got some help this weekend with snow and ice removal from Mother Nature in the form of warmer temperatures and sunshine. Road crews will now prepare for pothole response and will use a cold mix to make temporary repairs until asphalt plants open regularly in the spring.
