The Tennessee Department Of Health reports 10 people died from last week’s winter storm. In Overton County, a 70-year-old Hilham man who had been without power for days reportedly died from a heart attack while walking to a neighbor’s house to get warm. A 76-year-old Dickson County farmer drowned while trying to save two calves from a frozen pond. A 9-year-old boy died in a sledding accident in Brentwood. A 10-year-old boy died saving his sister from a frozen pond in Shelby County, where the winter storm claimed at least three other lives. Officials did not immediately release how they died. Two elderly people without power died in Sumner County as the temperature inside their homes plunged into the 20’s. And 1 person died in Maury County; cause of death was not made public.
