The death of a 9-year-old in Brentwood on Tuesday is Tennessee’s fourth weather-related fatality. The boy and three other children were riding on a tube being pulled by an ATV driven by the boy’s father when the tube collided with a mailbox. The boy died from his injuries at Vanderbilt hospital. The other children were not hurt. The Tennessee Department of Health said there have been two other weather-related deaths in Shelby County and one in Maury County.
